2026 2nd Tien-Chiung Drone Soccer Championship

Event Purpose: Drone Soccer originated in South Korea in 2016 and has rapidly developed into an innovative sport combining technology and competition. In recent years, it has been widely promoted across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. This competition aims to raise public awareness and participation in Drone Soccer, allowing elementary school, junior high school, senior high school, college students, and members of the general public to experience this innovative sport that blends technology with athletics. Through the competition, we hope to cultivate participants’ operational skills, strategic thinking, and teamwork abilities, while inspiring more young students’ interest in STEM fields. Furthermore, this event aspires to promote the popularization of Drone Soccer in Taiwan, further aligning with international standards, enabling more Taiwanese players to participate in international competitions, enhancing competitive levels, and securing Taiwan a place in the global drone sports arena.

Event Basic Information:

• Event Purpose: Promote Drone Soccer as a sport
• Event Date & Time: April 12, 2026, 08:00 to 17:00
• Event Venue: Tuku Elementary School Activity Center, Tuku Township, Yunlin County
• Competition Division: Open Division (open to all participants aged 6 and above)
• Eligibility: Participants must be enrolled in schools registered in Yunlin or Chiayi. Members of the general public must provide proof of household registration, residence, or employment in the Yunlin-Chiayi area.

Competition & Equipment Regulations:

• Team Composition: Each team consists of 3 players competing in a 2-team PK match, including 1 scorer and 2 defenders.
• Match Format: Each round lasts 3 minutes. Preliminary rounds are single-match elimination; from the semi-finals onward, a best-of-three format is adopted.
• Drone Ball Specifications: Participating teams must provide their own drone balls, with an outer diameter between 20 and 22 cm and a takeoff weight of no more than 300 grams.

• Registration Fee: Free of charge
• Registration Period: Open now until March 31, 2026
• Prizes: The top three teams in the regional competition will receive certificates and cash prizes (1st place: NTD 2,400; 2nd place: NTD 1,800; 3rd place: NTD 1,200). Winning teams will have the opportunity to represent Taiwan in the “2026 DASA International Drone Soccer Invitational Tournament” to be held in Taichung in July.
