Founded in response to the rapid growth of drone technology in Taiwan and the rising trends in STEM education and competitive sports, TDRUPA is dedicated to integrating resources from government, academia, and industry to promote drone racing and talent development. With drone soccer as our flagship program — combining technical piloting skills with team tactics — we have created a safe and innovative competitive format. Drone soccer is an all-ages sport with no restrictions on age or gender, welcoming participants from schools, communities, and senior groups alike, embodying the vision of intergenerational inclusion and pioneering a new era of sports in Taiwan.

Riding the wave of technological innovation, we are building an all-ages emerging tech sports platform for Taiwan. With drone racing at the core, we connect schools, communities, and senior generations, transforming technology into a force for intergenerational inclusion and creating a new future of sports for all.

Recognizing the global trends in the drone industry and the Taiwan government’s strong commitment to this field, our association was established to promote the development of competitive drone sports.

In an era of rapid technological change, education must evolve accordingly. Drone education not only cultivates STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) literacy but also inspires critical abilities such as problem-solving, logical thinking, and teamwork, laying a solid foundation for future development.

With modern children increasingly addicted to electronic devices, our association promotes drone soccer competitions to redirect children away from excessive screen dependency and guide them toward healthier, more inspiring activities.

Drone soccer competitions are more than just games — they are platforms for skill development. Participants gain exposure to diverse fields including programming, material assembly and design, hand-eye coordination, and collaborative strategy, comprehensively enhancing their personal capabilities.

Core Missions & Initiatives

Core Missions & Initiatives

  • Established the “Basic Operation Practical Certification Training Program,” offering comprehensive theoretical instruction, hands-on practice, and academic/practical assessments to help trainees obtain flight operation certifications.
  • The association collaborates with domestic manufacturers to develop drone soccer training equipment, such as the TC200I competition model, enhancing teaching consistency and implementing STEM education principles.
  • Set up the Taichung headquarters, Chishang branch office, and promotion centers in other cities and counties, combining flight fields and classroom spaces to provide learning, certification, and training services.
  • Promoting the annual flagship event, the “Tien-Chiung Cup Drone Soccer Championship,” establishing a four-region preliminary and national finals system since 2025, attracting participants from elementary school students to working professionals.
  • Competition categories are progressively expanding, including: 3v3 brushed drone soccer, 5v5 brushless drone soccer, obstacle courses, gate racing challenges, AI-powered competitions, and more.
  • Connecting with international organizations such as FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale) and Korea’s FIDA, with plans to establish the “Asian Drone Racing Alliance” and host Asian regional international invitational events in 2026–2027​。
  • Leveraging the Taitung Chishang branch office and local resources to promote agricultural drone training, DIY drone tourism experiences, and integrated educational travel programs.
  • Developing localized hubs through regional competitions, certification programs, and training courses, building long-term partnerships between the association and local schools and township organizations.
  • Providing subsidies for underprivileged students, indigenous youth, and other targeted groups to participate in training and certification courses free of charge.
  • Planning to establish the “Pilot Talent Development Fund” in collaboration with corporate resources, sponsoring outstanding performers to compete internationally or pursue advanced learning opportunities.
  • Developing an official digital platform with features including event registration, course progress tracking, pilot database, and digital certifications.
  • Implementing an “Observer Member to Full Member” system with training participation thresholds to ensure members demonstrate genuine commitment and willingness to contribute to the association’s mission.
